Un hambriento Higgins devora a Hamilton

Home favourite John Higgins eased to a 5-0 success over Anthony Hamilton as the Royal London Watches Grand Prix got underway - then insisted that he remains hungry for more titles.
.
Watched by a crowd which included his father John and wife Denise, Wishaw's Higgins took just 92 minutes to end the challenge of Hamilton and book his place in the last 16.
.
The three-times Grand Prix winner and twice World Champion knocked in breaks of 97, 65, 134 and 58 in a comprehensive victory, though the Scot still has some concerns about the state of his game.
.
"I hit the ball ok today but I'm still not that confident," said the 33-year-old. "I've been struggling for the last couple of years and I'm not sure why. I know I won the world title, but that's the only tournament I've won in three years.
.
"I'm capable of stringing a few matches together, but I'm not doing that regularly enough. There's no better feeling than winning tournaments, and if you're not doing that then you get a bit down. You see other players lifting trophies and you think 'I'm as good as him'.
.
"This is a big season for me. I've never been one to dedicate myself to snooker in the way that Davis and Hendry did. But I've still got the desire and the hunger to win titles.
.
"Higgins added that he is a fan of the random draw format, which is being used in this event for the first time. "I'm all for the draw, it adds something different," he said. "I'll be glued to the TV on Tuesday and nervous about who I'm playing next.
.
"Asked about the prospect of drawing Ronnie O'Sullivan, Higgins added: "Ronnie is a bit like Manchester United at the moment, he's winning most of the big events. Maybe I'm like Liverpool, I can beat the big boys on my day."

.
.
¡Cuánto sabe mi hermano!
