Tears for Fears es una banda fundada por Curt Smith y Roland Orzabal en 1981. Su estilo es muy variado y evidente en cada una de sus producciones musicales. Sus principales influencias musicales han sido The Beatles, Human League y Duran Duran, aunque también han llegado a sonar con similitud con Supertramp y Spandau Ballet. Canciones como "Everybody Wants to Rule the World", "Shout" (1985)y "Sowing the Seeds of Love" convirtieron a Tears for Fears en uno de los grupos más importantes de los años 80.
